Hi there,

I have tried it but it didnt have any effect for me.  Is it IC you suffer from?  I have heard it has helped some people.

Regards,

Emma

Hi Cherry
I tried the desert harvest brand of aloe vera.
It is made in colorado so you have to import it from the states. I chose this brand because it has been specially created to help IC sufferers. I think an IC patient set up the company. They freeze dry it and take out anything that could cause stomach problems. They have ran clinical trails in usa withgood results. So I was very keen to give it a try. However for me it didn't make a difference but that was just my experience and am sure for some it has been very helpful. If you look at the icn forums you will find lots of posts about it. The company reccomend starting on small dose then building up to 12 a day. If after 3 months it does not change things then you know it isn't going to help. I did the 3 months as just wanted to know if could help.
Alot of aloe available in high street health food shops are in liquid form with citric acid in it. Obviously citric acid isn't good for inflammed bladders!
Anyhow good luck with aloe which ever one you decideto go for
Best wishes
Susan

Many thanks Susan for your kind reply and Im sorry that the aloe vera didnt work for you.
Im at the stage where Im trying to explore all the different treatments fo IC just to see if any can make it easier for me.
Ive seen the American aloe vera and wondered if it would help but it is expensive and I didnt know if any UK products were the same as theirs?
Have you found anything that did help you?
Thanks again
