Hi ddj42,

Our bladders are extremely sensitive and being so stressed will have negative effects on this complicated organ. I have learned over the years that my bladder will take the brunt of my stress. It's a vicious circle. You are in pain. You become agitated and stressed. Bladder responds angrily. I do feel for you. If I find myself become too stressed I always have Kalms at the ready. Calm me equals calmer bladder. You WILL eventually be in a better place believe me. It takes time. My Urologist told me that the bladder is a very slow healing organ. Not much consolation in me saying to you to be patient! Have been there BUT am in a good place after 3 years or so.

Keep posting. The moderators are great and everybody who posts here.

I nearly forgot. Have you ever tried chamomile tea??  Calms Muscle Spasms – One study from England found that drinking chamomile tea raised urine levels of glycine, a compound that calms muscle spasms. Researchers believe this is why chamomile tea could prove to be an effective home remedy for menstrual cramps as well.  I drink chamomile tea when I have a flare. Do try it. Chamomile herb does not help treat the infection directly but by keeping you calm and composed it helps fasten the process of healing.
Do NOT add sugar or honey. Just plain water.

Good luck my dear.

Sending you positive vibes. xxx[wave]

Thank you for your encouragements, Doloroso. It's the relentlessness of the symptoms and the complete absence of respite which is wearing me down. I'll keep in mind your advice about Kalms and chamomile tea. I think I'll benefit from both.
