I've just been prescribed Ciprofloxacin for 5 days and was wondering if it's okay to take the probiotic Mega Acidophilus with Pectin. Thanks.

Ideally you should take any probiotics or supplements at least 3 hours away from antibiotics. If you take them at the same time then the efficacy of the probiotic is greatly reduced.

Hi there.
I have been taking probiotics for about 2yrs now as am on prophylactic treatment (ongoing antibiotics).
I take the probiotics with my evening meal and then a few hours later I take my antibiotic. (I take one daily as I said it's an ongoing thing for me).
Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Thanks. I've started taking a probiotic. I had to stop taking the Ciprofloxacin as it gave me bad side effects.
