Hi all.

Has anyone had a cystodistention and what where the results/ symptoms like in the first month? I had mine two weeks ago and my bladder has been very erratic ever since and I would definitely say my symptoms are worse. Also suffering with extreme anxiety and panic attacks which (other than the daily worry of my bladder symptoms) I did not have before the procedure.

Any tips really welcome. Thanks Lisa.

Hi, well it has been about six weeks since mine, and I would say I have good days and bad days, today was a bad day. Most of the problems I have are when I wake up and I need to pee several times in the morning in quick succession, which then kick starts the anxiety. I am back to work but very phased as it's been an extremely difficult time, never would have gone through with the procedure if I had known what was to follow. I have been told it can take a while for it to fully recover, so hoping that with time it will settle down back to how it was before. I am going to contact the nurse they have recommended on this page and see if she has any advice for regaining a bit more control. But overall I would say I am definitely not back to normal, and it definitely hasn't helped my symptoms. Sorry to see you are suffering also, it is extremely challenging.

Hi Lisa, i agree entirely i would never have had this procedure done i cancelled it twice snd then nearly cancelled again oh how i wish i had, at least i new what i was dealing with before and could go out.Like you i always want to wee in the mornings with stinging etc, before i had the stinging etc but never wanted to keep weeing, like you it is that that sets off the anxiety, i sm retired so i can rest at home but i want my life bsck, and what did they find some inflammation which MIGHT be the cause of my problems.Best wishes Heather.
