How can one tell if D-Mannose is working or not? I have fluctuating symptoms (urgency ranging from really bad to very bearable, in roughly half day or even shorter cycles).

When D-Mannose works, is the difference obvious? I started taking it (about 12 tablets/day) just after I stopped the antibiotics 8 days ago and have no idea whether it's doing something or not. Ideally, I'd like to stop taking it as I have now been told it has an effect on urine tests, which come back as false negatives. And I really need a valid urine test as I have no idea what is going on, need to clearly identify the bacteria, etc.
