Hi, I am unsure whether to post this on the IC/BC site as I am as yet undiagnosed. My symptoms started last year on holiday with a severe UTI that was after several days treated with antibiotics. Since then I have had some reccurent cystits as well as a general "niggly" feeling of needing the loo/ slight stinging when urinating. Most of the time I just drink lots of water and my symptoms are under control but if i dont drink enough each day, passing urine stings a lot and cystitis-like symptoms come back. Sex is out of the question at the mo because that also stings. As soon as I have been to the loo I feel like I need to go again / that theres still a bit of urine left in there that needs to be passed. Dipstick tests have found no bacteria and doctors prescribe ciprofloxacin (no change). I reacted badly to trimethoprim also. I was so glad to find this site because I felt like I may be the only one and have been trying to ignore/ just get on with it. I was wondering if I leave it long enough if it will do permanent damage/ endanger pregnancy? I am very reluctant/worried about surgery/procedures and am thinking of trying natural remedies eg colostrum supplements-have any of you tried this? Wishing you all well; I have been greatly encouraged by some of your messages! Thanks, Elle

Hi Elle ,

Welcome to the board

Have you been to see a Urologist and tried any medication to help with your symptoms apart from antibiotics ?

I have read about colostrum, it sounds very interesting, I havent heard of anyone who has tried it here, if you do please let us know how you get on.

best wishes

Dawn
