I've spotted there are a number of members currently taking Grapefruit seed extract as a way of treating any underlying infections. I have just bought some from 'Natures Best' as a concentrated liquid but have noticed that it contains Ascorbic acid which I've heard is a bladder irritant? Does any one have a recommended brand? I would like to take a low dose to start as my stomach is very sensitive (hence going for the liquid option)

Thanks in advance for any suggestions [smile]

Hi Bex28
I use the Nutribiotic brand (liquid) it doesn't have Ascorbic Acid in it and having done some research seems to be one of the better brands out there.

Its possible that this stuff thins the blood and interacts with some medications such as statins (although I am not entirely sure) so do read up on it.

Thanks so much for the replies, I hadn't received post notifications for some reason so was non the wiser! I have gone with a different brand now although I haven't tried it yet as have had to start other new medications. Will most likely use a very small amount in water and for a max of 2 weeks. Has anyone every tried adding some to bath water?
