I’m older than most of you here. I’m 67 and had left side pelvic pain for at least 4 years. Had test after test never found anything. Symptoms getting worse lately bladder pressure and urine frequency escalating. Fed up being in pain and no help from the NHS except co codamol. Why has no doctor considered I have interstitial cystitis. I have thought maybe it was this for a long time now .

Have you asked your GP to refer you to see a Urologist? Or a Uro gyni?

Thanks for replying x that’s my next step. I have scans booked for the 26th and if they come back negative I’m going to ask for a urologist referral. I think it’s bad you have to suggest these things x
