I am being advised to take tablets or have an injection to improve bone density.  Does anyone have experience of taking this as I am concerned about the effect on my bladder.

Hello CaroleAnn

If it is a Calcium Magnesium , then I have read that may aid the bladder.

I googled and found this which may help, but would always recommend, you discuss any concerns with your Medical advisers.

Calcium neutralizes acid when combined with meals.
Best for IC

“Calcium glycerolphoshate is a chemical substance that neutralizes the acid content of food. This essentially reduces acid secretion by the kidneys into the urine and reduces symptoms in many patients with IC.” says *** a board certified urologist in DeKalb, Illinois. Other calcium-based antacids that don't contain preservatives additives and artificial colors may help relieve IC symptoms.

Kind regards
