Hi, I'm new to this site and I was wanting to know if anyone has had medications instilled into the bladder to treat their IC. I'm going through this right now and wanted to know if there is anyone out there that could give me any info on how it worked for them.

Hello cletis, welcome to the COB Foundation forums.

Please see the COB Foundation website for further information on all the different types of bladder instillation treatments for IC and BC :
http://www.cobfoundation.org/interstitial-cystitispainful-bladder-syndrome/icpbs-treatments/intravesical-medications

Treatments vary from person to person.  Some people cannot tolerate the instillations, others find it doesn't work for them and others have found it to be very successful.  It's best to talk things through with your urologist or nurse specialist to source the best instillation treatment for you.  It is worth considering instillations if other oral medication has not worked for you.  Many UK patients are offered bladder instillation treatment and they find that it does help with their symptoms, they may also take other medications/supplements/diet changes too.  Trial and error - don't give up!

Please check out the COB website for more information and help.
