Earlier this summer a leading Professor of medicine spoke to MPs at the House of Commons about the shortcomings of Urinary Tract infection testing and the misdiagnosis that is affecting thousands in the UK let alone worldwide.

Following on from this there will be an adjournment debate in the House on Friday 28th October and if you are a sufferer of UTIs/IC/OAB or have a family member or friend struggling with diagnosis and quality of life as a result, you may want to encourage your local MP to attend this debate on your behalf. As a sufferer or you know someone who suffers this is your opportunity to get your/their voice heard and start making change towards improvement on diagnosis.

The debate will focus mainly on the shortcomings of the standard urinary tests; the inadequacy of the basic tools to inform doctors; and the potential ramifications of misdiagnosis for thousands of sufferers.

There is a letter and attachment that has been specifically prepared and if you would like to send this to your MP by email or post in the next few days, please email: and this will be sent to you.
