It is with deep regret that we feel it necessary to post this warning.

It has been noted that some forum members are persistently not adhering to the guidelines in regards to posting on the forum boards.

One of the main guidelines in place is that any medical professionals, alternative practitioners and Hospitals/clinics etc who are based in or out of the UK cannot be named on the open forums.

Books are permitted to be recommended (A reminder that COB offers a lending library of books to its members). However if an author also offers additional services, such as web seminars, appointments or treatment, either face to face or via any other method, such as postal, phone cobsultations, or appointments via the Internet, then the author can not be named.

These guidelines are in place to protect COB from any possible complaints.

If you wish to share information regarding naming people/hospitals/clincs etc please do not post this information on the open forums. Please send this information via email or private message to the forum member requesting the information.

Should any forum member constantly fail to adhere to any of the forum guidelines and continue to post against the forum guidelines despite multiple reminders being sent to them then the forum member will be suspended. If upon their return to the forums they repeat their behaviour of failing to adhere to the forun guidelines then the forum user will be permanently banned from posting on the forums.

Please help us by adhering to the forum guidelines as we really don't like having to suspend or ban people. We want the forums to be a supportive and helpful resource and be a place where people can off load and feel safe and not judged for sharing their opinions and thoughts. Everybody is entitled to their point of view and able to express their views on the forum, which the majority of you do without going against the forum guidelines and this very much appreciated and valued greatly to other forum users.

Thank you for your understanding regarding this matter. All of us moderators are incredibly grateful to the forum users who do adhere to the forum guidelines and offer excellent advice and share their experiences with other forum users.

Thank you for your kind assistance in this matter. If you have any queries or questions about the above statement please do not hesitate to contact any of the moderators (we don't bite - We promise! Our growl is worse than our bite!) or please contact Susannah or the main COB Office.

Kind regards

Moderator Jen, Moderator Kate, Moderator Susan, Susannah and all those at COB Office
