I have had symptoms of Urgency and difficult painful urination for the last 6 years. All tests have come back clear. Been taking Trospium for last 4 years after previous meds such as tamulosin, Oxybutin and Amitriptyline all failed to work
Emptying has gradually gotten worse and the pain clinic has put me on 150mg of Pregablin alongside my 20mg of Trospium...has anyone been prescribed pregablin and how have they got on with it?

Hello DawlishDave.
Welcome to our Forum.

So sorry to read of your ongoing symptoms, Unfortunately all our symptoms are different and then, we also all react differently to different treatments. Doh!
which makes finding a solution so difficult.

I am also sorry no one has been able to assist you with some information. I would suggest that you contact BHUK, and am sure they will have some good advice to offer you, also on a Wednesday the Office also has our resident incontinence Nurse, that you could also have a chat with.

I did find this on the Web, which am sure you have probably already read, but post here for anyone else checking in.
The Bladder organ , has the most Nerve endings in our body, so wonder if this is the Pain Clinics suggestion for you, I always ask , "why are you prescribing this for me" as I find this gives me an idea of what to expect from the prescription.

Pregabalin is also prescribed to treat certain types of long-lasting pain caused by damage to nerves. This type of pain, called neuropathic pain, can be caused by a number of different conditions, including diabetes (where it is called diabetic neuropathy) and shingles (where it is called postherpetic neuralgia

Hope maybe of some help, and do keep posting, as the more Male posters, will give you all support.

Kind regards
