Good brands are VSL3, Femdophilus, Culturelle, Ultimate Women’s Probiotic, Prescript Assist Gastrointestinal Support, Symprove, Syntol AMD, Optibac and Ther-biotic Factor 1 by Klaire Labs.  The latter is particularly good for those with very sensitive bladders.  If you are on antibiotics then take your probiotic first thing when you get up and an hour before breakfast and at least 2 hours away from antibiotics.  To help with thrush also use Sacchro B tablets, again Optibac have a brand. Probiotic yoghurt drinks sold in supermarkets are full of sugar and proven not to reach the gut so avoid.  Also rotate your probiotic make every few months to keep your gut flora on its toes and prevent the bad bacteria dominating if they get used to a particular brand.

Try slippery elm, an old fashioned indigestion remedy, available from health shops and safe for bladders.
