Hi all,

I have been suffering with a chronic infection for the past two years. My story is fairly typical, one terrible infection that never really went away.

This week I have had my first appointment at Prof ML's clinic and started on antibiotics (hurray).

My question is, does anyone have any recommendations on good probiotics to use during treatment? At the moment I'm taking Biokult.

Thanks very much!

HERE is a link that Moderator Susan has posted previously that may also assist you.It is generally advised to take any supplements away from timing of taking AB's.

Hi. I have been on antibiotics for 3 months on and off and have managed to avoid thrush. I found a probiotic specifically for those taking antibiotics and a regular broad spread probiotic. I also make my own kefir. I finish antibiotics at 8pm and then at 10 pm take probiotics and kefir. I don,t have much gap during the day with 4 doses of antibiotics if you only have 2 doses then you could take them during the day.
I also have 2 tbsp coconut oil per day and 12 drops oil of oregano, both supposed to be anti fungal.

Thanks very much for your advice, that page is really useful.

I think I'm going to have a go at making my own Kefir.
