Hi all, I've only just found this forum and wondering if it is still active.I'm considering the SNM operation and wanted to learn more from people with 1st hand experience. My problem is incomplete voiding, I'm male and been on the down hill slide with this problem for 3 years now and have had 3 operations to try to ease the problem.

Hello surfer
Welcome to our Forum.

Yes this Forum is still active,  however, it maybe that those Members having had the SNM, may not be posting regularly at the moment.

However as you will have read I suggest you reading through this thread as there is a wealth of information to assist.

I also wonder that as you are not in the UK, if this contact may be of benefit to you.

If you contact the office during the week, they will have a lot more information to assist you.

Do also read  through the Mens Forum on this site

I also found these googling that may help

Thanks very much for your reply.
I have searched the net trying to find a forum in Australia without success and came across your one this morning and was grateful to be able to read the information presented.
I'll have a look at the Aust site you suggested as I'm trying to get as much 1st hand information as possible.
I live in a regional town with only 1 urologist and he is flat out
Many thanks again for the contact and info
Regards
Jim

Hello again,

I looked up the site your suggested ICSG and the only sites with those initials are a mining company, also the only Dr Katya Buc Stooke is a dentist ?

I'm hoping that there may be some sites available to find more information re the SNM from people who have had the implant and their findings.

Regards
Jim.

Hello Jim

I am so sorry, you are unable to make contact with the link I provided, I have e. mailed our BHUK Office, to see if they can locate and update that information taken from our Website.I note the same info is showing on other Bladder sites. I will update you when I receive any info.

I did also see this on our website but as it already had a note saying maybe defunct I did not include it at the time. Doh!

This may be a help again from our website(scroll)

Also as I suggested ,PLEASE, do contact the office yourself (e. mail or phone) as they will have more information and maybe some contacts you could liaise with re the operation.( As some Members, very kindly offer to converse with others like yourself).

So sorry to add to your distress, but will see what else I can assist you with.

Kind regards
Kate

Hi Jim

Here is some information I have received from the Office

https://www.medtronic.com/au-en/your-health/treatments-therapies/overactive-bladder-oab/therapy.html
this has info/contact for Australia.

Also look on Facebook for SNS Support,(Sacral Nerve Stimulation) , this looks an active group,( I cannot check for you as I dont use FB)

Click....Moderator jen alongside any of her posts to e.mail or Private message, although she herself is not well, am sure she will respond, having had this procedure herself.

Do let me know if you have difficulty, and will endeavour to help further.
