Drink LOTS of water, at least 2 litres a day ! I take 15ml of lactulose, That makes me go .

If you have lots of stomach pain it's best to get checked out by a GP.

Hope you feel better soon.

I have taken Lepicol (with lots of water) and eaten a few prunes every day for years which helps me stay regulsr. I also suffer from diverticular disease as well as having bladder problems so need to keep things moving. Neither of these have ever caused any bladder problems.

I forgot to mention that I also take probiotics daily. I have recently changed to try Symprove after seeing it featured on TV and it seems to be helping both my bowel and bladder. It’s early days as I’ve only been on it for a month but so far, so good....

Instead of taking laxatives have you tried glycerine suppositories?  They should solve the problem without irritating your gut.  I hope you manage to get sorted soon, must be miserable for you.
