Hi,I usually drink Ribera but have read it's a bladder irritant so I was wondering what squash I could drink instead of just water. Thanks.

Most squashes have a lot of citric acid added to them which is a bladder irritant as well plus all the sugar which if you have bacterial issues will simply feed bacteria in your gut and bladder. If you can, why not try flavouring your water with say some cucumber slices or watermelon slices. Its desperately frustrating I know but obviously it depends what you can tolerate bladder wise. You could try a very weak low sugar squash to see how you get on to start with or get hold of some Pre Relief tablets which help to take the acid out of food.

or cooled herb teas, make a pot in the morning and you will have it on hand when you want a drink.

even the low sugar drinks not helpful with the additives. If you MUST have squash then get a good health food shop brand and check the label.

Hi there. Whilst going through a terrible period of UTI I could not drink anything but water which was driving me mad but I did find drinking cold from the fridge helped "the medicine go down"! What I found too was drinking milk instead of water in between glasses milk broke the monotony.
Have you tried camomile tea?? I must say without any sweetener or sugar it is not the greatest but you become used to it. Too much will send you to sleep! It does however calm a flare.
Good luck.

Thanks. I'm just having water. Haven't tried camomile tea but I do have the odd glass of milk.
