Hi again, Its been a while since I posted on here. Still suffering uretheral soreness and burning that seems to lead to urgency feelings too. Seen a gynaecologist who gave me dermovate for the soreness and burning. Darent use it too much though as it evidently thins the skin out with too much use.
The other problem is that my bladder is virtually numb following my hip op last year. So I dont know when my bladder is full and also hardly any signal to wee, although I get a weak trickling feeling in my urethera that tells me to go sometimes. Otherwise I just keep an eye on how much I have drank and the time too to get an idea.
So this has all lead to urgency anxiety which has greatly restricted my life this last year. Missing an up and coming wedding because of it too.:-(
So I have now gotten to a stage where I am thinking I will never be any different! I want to go on cruises and day trips shopping and all sorts but I cant whilst Im like this. :-(
Sorry. I didnt want to burden you with my problems. BC

Hi Heather, Really sorry about that. Back now on a lovely sunny morning. Thank you for your kind words but you are right. Writing about them does help sometimes . I dont have any bladder pain either. It is virtually numb since last years hip replacement! So my pain, burning and stinging is all down below too. I could cope with the burning and stinging at a push. Its the urgency I cant cope with. Not that the burning and stinging is easy to deal with. Its not as you know. But the feeling of needing to wee asap is the pits. Sorry to hear you have had the naval discomfort since you had the cystoscopy. I have actually been warned not to have one because it will make things worse. Its so hard feeling that we cant do anything because of all this isnt it. I do go out but only locally and only where I know there will be public loos and there wont be queues for them. So Im a greatly restricted because of this. My husband isnt bothered because he doesnt want to go out or go places that much anyway. No wonder you are so muddled when Private and NHS are telling you opposite things. Never heard of biofilm if I am honest. Yes I was living my life before the urgency kicked in too. Sore often but like you I could cope with it. Yes I have heard of instills before too but do not like the sound of them either. Yes lets hope we find some peace soon. Peace is a fab word isnt it. I wish I had peace of mind too, as well as peace from the symptoms down below. Thinking of you too.

I have just read your post and would have more to say but waiting for an eye op which has just been put back another month so I  am unable to see what I am typing.  However, I suffer with urethra soreness or burning, I have yet to hear of a way to make this better. I anyone has heard of a remedy, I would be eternally grateful.  Have you asked a doctor about treatments for a painful urethra? Sometimes with bladder pain it is heard to know exactly what is hurting.  Best wishes Jean

Hi Jean, Sorry to hear your eye op has been put back a month. Also sorry to hear about your urethral soreness and burning too. Ive been to Docs often about mine and even a gynaecologist. I was prescribed Dermovate to use sparingly but it didnt work for me. So I got some Yes Plant Oil Based Lubricant and this has helped me more than anything. What I find most upsetting is the fact that my burning/soreness sometimes makes me feel like I need to wee urgently so this last couple of years I have suffered urgency anxiety because of it. However the feelings may not be urgency as Ive gotten them before today and dashed to the nearest loo only to find nothing happened! So its not about having a full bladder because it happens when its empty too. It gives me what feels like an urgency sensation regardless though. However it has been just a bit more easier of late as I am trying to deal with my anxiety. So some improvement but I darent get too excited yet as its early days. I am seeing a urologist in about 3 weeks so we will see what he says.
