Could someone explain what's going on here as I'm sure maybe some of you will have experienced similar -

For about 2 months now, only on certain days though, I have these random bouts of urination where I'll pee more than I should. Definitely not every day but on occasional days I'll get the odd urinary frequency. For example today -

In the morning I drank tea around 700ml then some time I voided around 700ml. about maybe 2 hours later, I'll have a slight urge and then void another 400ml despite NOT DRINKING ANYTHING in these 2 hours. So why the retention? I realise that tea is a duirectic so you will pee extra urine.

I have been to the GP and he did mention I have a slightly larger but very smooth prostate (for someone of my age 34) but he suspects that I have a case of over-active bladder, which I suppose would explain the intermittent symptoms.

I am unable to answer you specifically, but may things affect output with me, particularly what I have eaten. My suggestion would be to test yourself with various liquids and foods, including tea and non acffiene drinks and see what the results are.
