I'm 17 years old and I have had something similar to OAB for most of my life. I was just wondering, after reading several things here, does it ever just go away, becasue my doctor has been telling me for a long time now that it probably will just stop. He first told me this when I was coming up to puberty, but that was years ago!

It's getting to be a very awkward thing, as I'm at college and going to University soon and it will be hard to explain to people, as I don't like to go around shouting about it and I really just need some reasurrance I guess. I'm used to taking medication now and it seems to be stopping my 'accidents' but I don't really want to be dependant on them for the rest of my life.

So does it go or is it here to stay?

I dont really know the answer to that but I guess if you are fairly well controlled with meds, then maybe you have to keep on with them.
