Hi everyone, I wonder if you could help me.
Im 51 years of age non smoker, t total and fairly active.

I had sex 4 weeks ago, the first time in a year !! 3 days later I got cystitis pain,  bought the usual sachets and thrush cream just in case but although the symptoms abated a bit they still remained.
Went to Doc, urine test said no infection, so Doc gave me no pills or anything

4 weeks on and slight discomfort in vaginal area all the time and urge to pee slightly painful, Ibuprofen seems to help
Do you think I have I C ?
Thanks,  Isobel

Hi,

It seems rather weird that they did not even try a second urine culture, to be safe.
Discomfort in vaginal area it is vague....perhaps just go back to GP with better symptoms list?
I would not jump to conclusions just yet. It could be all sorts of things. Hassle them and ask them to explore.

Ibuprofen or painkillers never helped me with bladder symptoms so I can't help there.

M

My Urologist wants me to have Botox shots in my bladder. She said there would be 25 to 30 shots. The drawback is sometimes it works to good and you can't urinate at all. If this happens you have to Catheterize yourself. Has anyone had this done ? I would rather deal with the pain and frequency. I told her my concerns she then suggested the stretching my bladder. Not sure what to do. Any Advice Anyone ???? So confused.
