Hi Julia

You may not be aware, but following a full course of treatment with the holistic dr who treated my leaky gut, plus herbs, supplements, acupuncture and hypnohealing/psychoneuroimmunolgy, I have been in full remission for about 10 months

Good luck in your search too.

Hi
I am trying the urovaxom, it is working for me, i just have 20 days with the vaccinate but i think it's works, also I think after we used so many antibiotics we destroyed our natural bacterial flora in our internal system, I read about Kefír to boost the natural good bacterias in the body, usually the holistics doctors ( I am using him right now, as a parallel with vaccinate) he sent to me to take a lot of good bacterias (I think are 12 ) I did not buy them yet they are more expensive than the urovaxom pills, but i really think is neccesary becuase i do not have natural good bacteria in my system, that is why we have re current infections. Millie you are in treatment with holistic medicine, Did you notice if the doctor sent to you good bacterias to take as liquid or powder?.
Thank you in advance for answer me

sorry for the late reply.
When seeing a holistic practitioner he put me on capsulesof a 'good' bacteria but it was so long ago I can't remember the name now. Wasn't acidopilous.

Hi guys,

Just wondered if you could clear something up for me? Is Uro-Vaxom licensed in the UK do you know?
The reason I ask is my story sounds very similar to most of yours...after a few trips to the urologist I saw a new guy last week who scribbled out a note to my GP to give me this Uro-Vaxom. So off I go feeling happy this is something I have never tried after years of UTI's, really hoping this may help me - and my GP has never heard of it - nor can he find it in his huge book of meds he is licensed to prescribe!!! He's going to speak to the urologist but right now I'm just feeling totally deflated! I can't find anything on Google to suggest it is available here - and have obviously read your stories of ordering this from a Swiss company - though I realise this was a few years ago now.
Help!

Thanks

Rachael

Hi ladies,

some of the messages here were posted few years ago; Dear Carey, Millie and others who tried uro-vaxom: could you please tell me about its efficiency after few years have passed? Did it really help or you're still suffering from UTIs?

I have the same problem for the last 8-9 years and as many of you, I've tried all possible and impossible ways to treat it... Nothing had worked out... Even after long term remission it still comes again

I heard about Uro-Vaxom a lot, but it's not licensed in my country (I live in Russia). So, if it is really good, the Q2 - do you know where I could buy it online? I checked the farmamondo which was mentioned here, but I don't see the option "to buy".  I only see price and short description there. Maybe you could give me some other sites or smth?

Thanks in advance and good luck to all of you!

Julia.

Hi, really interesting thread, wish I'd come across it earlier. I suffered badly from Utis caused by e-coli for over two years. I'd tried everything, was prescribed urovaxom for 9 months. took 1 every day before breakfast but still kept getting them, so didn't have much faith that it was working. The doc had said I wouldn't see results straight away so I kept going with the treatment. I don't think I took all nine months of it, but pretty much all of it and about a year later didn't get a single infection so I believe it workedU for me. Didn't have anything for three years, but just got it again for the first time since. I'm thinking about taking it again, but not sure if it'll work because I've taken it in the past? I might try 3 months just in case. Not sure if this is just a one-off infection or if it's going to keep recurring again

Hi Manu

Thanks for posting your experience with this vaccine. Were you prescribed Urovaxom on the NHS  in the UK?  A urologist I saw several months ago at a London hospital had never even heard of it.  An effective vaccine would be a godsend.  I know that they are trialling a new vaccine in the USA.

Hope you manage to quickly get on top of this latest infection.

Hello there,

I have suffered recurrent UTI's for the past 2 years, but have just been prescribed the Urovaxom by my urologist,

It is now available in the UK but can only be prescribed by the hospital and not every hospital will prescribe it.

I will start the treatment as soon as I have cleared up my current infection and will let you know how I get on. If it works, even if only for a few years, it will be amazing to not have to rely on long term antibiotics in order to have a normal life.

Here's hoping!

Hi Lilroz

This is very interesting.  Perhaps the increasing antibiotic resistance problem has at last prompted urologists to seek other routes.  I've been reading about another vaccine called Uromune which has shown some good results.  Did your urologist give you any indication of the success rate of this vaccine?  Also would be interested to know the hospital that will prescribe this for you.

All the best with this and please keep us posted whatever the outcome.

Well this is my second breakthrough infection on two different antibiotics, I found out about the vaccine from my urologist who told me a bit about it. I've since read the paper and success rate appears to be about 33% of people having no recurrence of uti within a year for treatment.

It isn't perfect, and won't work for everyone, but I'm glad I get the chance to give it a go. I've been in antibiotics for too long and an convinced this had led to an increase in other infections (sinus, chest etc)

Not heard of the other vaccine. I am in Sheffield.

So I have been taking the Uro-vaxom for about a month now.

Had one short and not too severe infection in the first 10 days but been okay since. Only thing is it seems to be upsetting my stomach a bit when I take it in the morning, but that will be nothing if it works!

Fingers crossed for you,so pleased to read of your so far positive experience.

Re the upset morning stomach, are you allowed to eat anything? or does it have to be on an empty stomach?
Maybe if  you ,nibbled ,even a small plain biscuit or something, it may give the stomach lining a bit of protection and ease your symptoms.

Do keep us informed.
